Product Owner at InfoPro Digital Automotive

InfoPro Digital Automotive is the division of InfoPro Digital focusing on digital solutions and content for the Automotive Aftermarket, helping distributors, workshops, and other stakeholders in the automotive aftermarket to increase their efficiency and access data to perform the day-to-day tasks in repairing and servicing cars for our customers.

The Product and Innovation team is looking to expand and is currently looking for a Product Owner to help the expansion of existing and new products for both France and international markets.

Under the supervision of a Product Manager, as a Product Owner you focus on:

  • Define the functionalities and services expected by existing and new customers for the evolution of the product(s) features as part of the Product Life Cycle including new products, options, and solutions with a clear MPV approach in mind, closely monitoring competition and competitive advantages
  • Manage the backlog of development jointly with the development teams, scrum masters, project managers and UI/UX teams in line with target budget and timelines and other KPIs within the release cycles of the product(s)
  • Search for external components that can be integrated into the product(s) to increase quality, reduce the time to market benefiting from 3rd party developed modules
  • Ensure technical, sales and other documentation related to the product is ready and in line with the deployment of new features and functionality

With a true passion and experience in automotive and digital, you have already had some experience within the European automotive ecosystem in roles like technical development, product marketing or project management experience and would like to continue or build on this in the Product Owner role on the crossroads of marketing, project management, and speak at least 2 European languages – with English being one of them. You are driven by innovation in close cooperation with customers to help them manage their digital challenges.

I – Your targets:

1/ Deploy the product roadmaps and manage the product life cycle for your area

  • Under supervision of the Product Manager, and jointly with the customer focusing teams and the US / design teams: gather customer insights and translate these insights and the Product positioning into features and building blocks that create input for the development teams
  • A continuous focus on MVPs driven by project KPIs with subsequent release schedules as part of the management of a roadmap
  • Keep a close look on competition and external partners, identifying partners and components that can be included in the final products to gain time to market and 3rd party expertise
  • Actively participate in communication around the product portfolio to internal and external stakeholders (management, other areas within the division, customers, partners, …) in both technical and business values (features, pricing, sales channel aspects, launch plans and communication).
  • Coordinate and manage all other areas that help in creating successful products (SLAs, deployment, trainings for sales as well as customers on the solutions, documentation, contracts etc.) with the various teams in the organization

2/ Innovation

  • Ensure inclusion of innovation with peer Product Owners to ensure future proof and innovative solutions in the competitive industry we are in
  • Participate, and share innovation sessions with internal and external stakeholders including e.g. Design , UX, UI teams

II – What we are looking for

1 – What you bring 

  • Educational Background related to Digital / Innovation / Product Management for Product or Services
  • At least 3 years of experience as Product Owner in a truly European or international context.
  • Fluent in English and at least one other main European language
  • Clear and proven experience in Agile methods, and knowing how to put Agile in place within an organisation
  • Experience within - or in close cooperation with - the automotive aftermarket industry (or replace with specific areas of the PO role)
