Early years

From the moment we were founded in 1995, HaynesPro, formerly known as Vivid Automotive Data & Media BV, has focused on delivering automotive technical data in an electronic format to the European automotive aftermarket.

Vivid’s founders were certain that their company would succeed simply because there was an unfulfilled need for technical information linked to parts; multilingual information stored in accessible databases, something that simply didn’t exist at the time.


In 2008 Vivid was acquired by the Haynes Publishing Group, a British company with strong roots in the automotive industry. Haynes is also a well-established brand for more than 50 years. While Haynes publishes mainly for the DIY and customer market, the ‘Pro’ addition to our name indicates that we are the division serving automotive professionals.

In 2016 HaynesPro acquired OATS Ltd. which was founded in 1984 by two lubricant specialists. Since then OATS has become the leading supplier of information and productivity solutions for oil companies all over the world adding world famous brands to their portfolio. By joining forces with HaynesPro, both our companies have managed to further enhance our product offering and service levels.

Known in the market for their flagship product E3 Technical, HaynesPro UK is specialized in VRM services and support desk services to UK workshops. This strategic acquisition allows the HaynesPro group to further strengthen it’s European portfolio of progressive data solutions.

Today, HaynesPro’s technical data solutions are used by various branches of the automotive industry such as parts distributors, parts manufacturers, diagnostic equipment manufacturers, fleet operators etc. It is not always recognizable as HaynesPro data. Although our company name may be unfamiliar to you, it is likely that you are already familiar with our technical data.

The automotive aftermarket will experience many changes in the coming years. Changing legislation, technological advances, mergers and acquisitions, and the growth of electric and hybrid vehicles are just a few of the factors that will influence its future direction. HaynesPro is ready for these changes. Our products and databases are designed for fast adaptation to market requirements. We will continue to invest in IT staff, tools and infrastructure and are ready for the future!

European independent Automotive Data Publishers Association

HaynesPro is a member of the European Independent Automotive Data Publishers Association, in short ADPA. ADPA pursues the purpose to ensure fair access to automotive data and information and to provide competitive framework conditions for independent data publishers. This will allow the publishers to be able to design and provide competitive, innovative and multibrand products and services to operators of the automotive aftermarket to enable competitive choice to motoring consumers and businesses in the care of their vehicles.

Following the Haynes Publishing Group’s corporate belief we at HaynesPro are committed to minimizing the impact our operations have on the environment. This starts with our local offices where we’ve greatly minimized our waste, emissions and power consumption. We believe that the digital products we make as a relatively small company have a large global impact due to these products being used by many companies and people around the world. Take for example our VESA and ProFIT products which superfluous the usage of paper. On a grand scale they are small changes that help make our world just a little bit better.



In 2016 our HaynesPro data department was granted the ISO9001 certificate for outstanding quality management. ISO 9001 demonstrates our ability to consistently provide products and services that meet our customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. It also aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
