About us
Early years
From the moment we were founded in 1995, HaynesPro, formerly known as Vivid Automotive Data & Media BV, has focused on delivering automotive technical data in an electronic format to the European automotive aftermarket.
Vivid’s founders were certain that their company would succeed simply because there was an unfulfilled need for technical information linked to parts; multilingual information stored in accessible databases, something that simply didn’t exist at the time.
Haynes
In 2008 Vivid was acquired by the Haynes Publishing Group, a British company with strong roots in the automotive industry. Haynes is also a well-established brand for more than 50 years. While Haynes publishes mainly for the DIY and customer market, the ‘Pro’ addition to our name indicates that we are the division serving automotive professionals.
OATS
In 2016 HaynesPro acquired OATS Ltd. which was founded in 1984 by two lubricant specialists. Since then OATS has become the leading supplier of information and productivity solutions for oil companies all over the world adding world famous brands to their portfolio. By joining forces with HaynesPro, both our companies have managed to further enhance our product offering and service levels.
HaynesPro UK
HaynesPro UK, formerly known as e3 Technical from Carweb, was acquired in 2017. HaynesPro UK is specialized in high quality Vehicle Registration Mark data (VRM) and solutions and is the UK sales office for HaynesPro. They provide support desk services for our corporate accounts in the UK as well as the UK workshops. The acquisition of HaynesPro UK strengthened our European portfolio of progressive and diversified automotive data solutions.
HaynesPro
HaynesPro’s automotive data and workflow solutions are used by various branches of the automotive industry such as parts distributors, parts manufacturers, diagnostic equipment manufacturers, fleet operators, workshop chains etc. You may not always recognise HaynesPro’s automotive data but if you are active in the automotive aftermarket, it is likely you have come across our data.
The automotive aftermarket is highly dynamic, exactly what makes it interesting and exciting to us. Technological advances, the growth of electric and hybrid vehicles and “the connected car” are just a few of the factors that will influence the future of the automotive aftermarket. HaynesPro is ready for these changes. Our products and databases are designed for fast adaptation to market requirements and our teams like a good challenge! We will continue to invest in our editorial teams, data and IT staff, tools and infrastructure and we are ready for the future!
Haynes Professional Group
HaynesPro and OATS form the Haynes Professional Group. We offer our customers and partners a range of data and workflow solutions from highly accurate VRM and identification data, scalable vector graphics with embedded technology, global oil and lubricants data, technical data with step-by-step diagnostic data to bespoke data solutions projects. Our data specialists, IT professionals and account teams are focussed on delivering you the best solutions for your needs. We will go a long way, to deliver you ‘clearly better data’!
In 2019, HaynesPro was aquired by the InfoPro Digital group. Infopro Digital is a leading player in the business-to-business information and services with 3,300 employees and over 100 brands covering Insurance & Finance, Automotive aftermarket, Construction, Retail, Industrials and the Public Sector.
The group offers its customers and clients multi-media products and solutions. Software, tradeshows, databases, digital solutions, lead generation, analysis & insight, events and training helps customers and clients to:

European independent Automotive Data Publishers Association
HaynesPro is a member of the European Independent Automotive Data Publishers Association, in short ADPA. ADPA pursues the purpose to ensure fair access to automotive data and information and to provide competitive framework conditions for independent data publishers. This will allow the publishers to be able to design and provide competitive, innovative and multibrand products and services to operators of the automotive aftermarket to enable competitive choice to motoring consumers and businesses in the care of their vehicles.
ISO14001 CERTIFIED
Following the Haynes Publishing Group’s corporate belief we at HaynesPro are committed to minimizing the impact our operations have on the environment. This starts with our local offices where we’ve greatly minimized our waste, emissions and power consumption. We believe that the digital products we make as a relatively small company have a large global impact due to these products being used by many companies and people around the world. Take for example our VESA and ProFIT products which superfluous the usage of paper. On a grand scale they are small changes that help make our world just a little bit better.

In 2016 our HaynesPro data department was granted the ISO9001 certificate for outstanding quality management. ISO 9001 demonstrates our ability to consistently provide products and services that meet our customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. It also aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
