HaynesPro introduced VESA Mk II at Automechanika 2016

HaynesPro, the European market leader in online technical information for the automotive aftermarket, launched its new product VESA Mk II at Automechanika 2016. At the trade fair the company has also introduced the HaynesPro WorkshopData Owner’s Manual: a book that combines traditional information about the company with innovation in the form of augmented reality.

VESA Mk II is the second generation VESA – Vehicle Electronics Smart Assistant. This unique product, launched at Automechanika in 2010, helps the user to diagnose and repair increasingly complex electronical issues in vehicles. VESA Mk II offers even more manufacturer specific error codes, component specific information allowing for even better analysis, and a renewed user interface. This enables mechanics to diagnose electronics-related issues even more accurately and faster than before. Thanks to fewer incorrectly ordered parts due to incorrect diagnosis, parts distributors benefit from VESA Mk II by being able to offer their customers better service. Also, this helps both garages and distributors to save on costs.

Book

HaynesPro WorkshopData Owner’s ManualTo celebrate the company’s success, HaynesPro published the HaynesPro WorkshopData Owner’s Manual. The book describes the company from A to Z in the iconic Haynes style. Thanks to augmented reality, readers will not only learn about HaynesPro’s products and services, but are also able to actually experience them. By combining augmented reality with technical data for example, or by 3D drawings that show how a brake caliper is manufactured.

“At the previous Automechanika trade fair in 2014, we announced our 111th employee,” says Peter van der Galiën, Managing Director at HaynesPro. “Since then, our staff number has increased by 25 percent and we’re approaching the 150 mark, which confirms our leading position in the online technical data market.” Frank Buisson, Regional Manager HaynesPro Germany, says, “Our goal for Automechanika is to innovate, inspire and inform. Innovation will however remain an ambition, unless specific examples are given. HaynesPro does this with the HaynesPro WorkshopData Owner’s Manual and its augmented reality app. That way we inspire to do more with the combination of IT and technical data.”
